Christmas is approaching and many restaurants have opened up for Christmas menus. Not all restaurants offer a Christmas lunch, and those that do are quickly fully booked as christmas is a busy holiday for restaurants. If you haven't booked a table yet, we are here to help. Keep reading and find our list of restaurants that offer Christmas lunch or dinner. Some of the restaurants have a classic Danish Christmas lunch, and others have Christmas menus with a twist. SCHØNNEMANN
Schønnemann is a classic Danish smørrebrød restaurant and at Christmas time the coziness is turned up an extra notch. As the pranksters break loose, the atmosphere gets louder and louder in the festively decorated restaurant. It cannot be ruled out that some of the guests will also be decorated. Lunch is served from: 11:30-14:00 or 14:14-17:00Schønnemann is usually only open for lunch, but during the Christmas season they also open up for Christmas fun in the evening. They serve their evening Christmas dinner from 18:30-23:00

GEMINI
Gemini is next door to the Planetarium and you can enjoy your Christmas lunch here with a view of Lake Sankt Jørgen. At Gemini, they are looking forward to inviting you inside for Christmas, where they have put together an exquisite Christmas menu of the best ingredients, for both lunch and for dinner. This year's Christmas lunches start on 16 November, and table reservations are a good idea. The Christmas lunch menu is served for between 11.30 and 16 and this year they have created 2 lunch editions: The sublime Christmas lunch, which consists of 3 courses for DKK 275 or The sumptuous one, where in addition to the 3 courses, you get bubbles and snacks for starters and coffee and petit four after, all this for DKK 495. Their evening Christmas menu is also divided into several versions: The sublime, The sumptuous and The wildest, which costs respectively; DKK 475, 675 and 1245. KRONBORG
Restaurant Kronborg is all about coziness and home-cooked food based and good ingredients. It is a classic Danish restaurant and the Christmas months are one of the most festive times of the year at Restaurant Kronborg. Here they serve a homemade, traditional Danish Christmas lunch. It is served from Friday the 3rd of November to Saturday the 23th of December and again from Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30th of December 2023. As usual, opening hours are extended for Christmas from November 10 to 30th of December 2023 (both days inclusive): Monday to Saturday from 11-23.30 and Sunday from 11-18.
BÆST
Have your Christmas party at Bæst and let them serve you delicious, organic Christmas dishes - both with well-known Christmas classics and exciting alternative versions. Everything is 90-100% organic and it all takes place in their cozy private room in the heart of vibrant Nørrebro in Copenhagen. Served for groups of 13 people and up and costs from DKK 610-910 per person depending on which menu you choose. FASANGAARDEN
True to tradition, this year they again decorate the courtyard with lights and Christmas trees and each Sunday you are invited for warm glögg, æbleskiver and an abundant Advent program for both adults and children. In addition, from Wednesday to Sunday you can enjoy a Christmas lunch in their cozy living rooms, consisting of their version of smørrebrød and more traditional dishes. From Wednesday to Thursday, they serve their small Christmas table for DKK 495. In addition, the serve Fasangården's Christmas table all week for DKK 695. PALÆGADE
Friday 16 November Christmas starts at Restaurant Palægade. Their exquisite Christmas table consists, as always, of the best ingredients and they are looking forward to welcoming a lot of happy Christmas guests to the restaurant. The head chef has put together a Christmas menu with the recognizable dishes – herring, salmon, roast pork and risalamande, all in true Palægade style with a focus on quality and good ingredients. They have two seatings for lunch with arrival between 11.30-12.15 or 14.00-14.45. The Christmas dinner menu consists of the same good classic dishes as for lunch, but in the evening you will also find more exclusive dishes throughout the menu. In the evening there is only one seating with arrival between 18.30-19.30.
LE LAC
At Le Lac, they cherish traditional French cuisine and its preparation methods, but do so in a modern and Nordic context. They are open for both lunch and dinner and the menu changes regularly and during the Christmas months it is adapted to this. The Little Christmas at Le Lac consists of 4 servings for DKK 375. NORRLYST
They are looking forward to welcoming you inside for Christmas at Norrlyst, where they have put together an exquisite Christmas menu of the best ingredients, both for lunch and for dinner. This year's Christmas lunch starts on 16 November at Norrlyst, and a table reservation is a good idea. For lunch, you can look forward to their award-winning smørrebrød, which has garnered recognition and is an important factor behind Norrlyst's triple award of the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand in the past three years. In the evening, they offer an exclusive 4-course menu that creates a unique gastronomic experience that you won't find anywhere else.
FREDERIKS HAVE
The Christmas menu at Frederiks Have runs from 15 November to December 23th, and they are also open in the weekdays between Christmas and New Years. The Christmas menu consists of a 3-course set menu for DKK 450. For starters, you get lobster bisque with ballotine of scallops. This year, the main course consists of duck breast, browned scallions, red cabbage, Pommes Anna and Orange Sauce, and for dessert they serve Clafoutis with cherries and vanilla ice cream. There is also à la carte, cheese and snacks, so the menu can be expanded and put together as you wish.
ANCESTRALE
Ancestrale does not usually do Christmas lunches, but this year they will offer an alternative version of the kind - a sustainable and modern alternative. If you are a group of 8-14 guests, you can book their private room, which you can have to yourself all evening. Instead of a traditional Danish Christmas lunch, they will serve their seasonal pescetarian menu with delicious natural wines or beers to match.
KOEFOED
Christmas begins November 20 at Restaurant Koefoed. Here you will find a classic Danish cuisine with inspiration from Bornholm, which can also be seen in the white arches that characterize the interior. For lunch you can choose from a wide selection of classic Danish smørrebrød. For that, choose one of their delicious schnapps - ask the competent staff, who can guide you to a flavor that fits perfectly with your choice of servings. The Bornholm Christmas lunch runs from 11:30-15:00 (only for the whole table) - 3 servings for DKK 495 or 4 servings for DKK 550. You can also choose Koefoed's Christmas plate for DKK 395 or go à la carte.
