Mielcke & Hurtigkarl is located in one of Copenhagen’s most beautiful settings, The Royal Danish Horticultural Gardens, which date back to 1830. In the restaurant, there are no dogmas, except the desire and the pleasure itself. They hold the same reverence for an insignificant leek as they do for a beautiful lobster. The wines meet the food in an informal dance for the senses, where both contrast and harmony are welcome. The menu starts with a series of appetizers that open the palate and the mind. The kitchen presents two set menus with distinct culinary authorship – achieved through relentless technique and respect for the seasons. Their style is indescribable but unmistakable.
