Many restaurants are closed on Sunday for a well-deserved break, but there is still someone who ensures that we can extend our weekend with a little self-indulgence. GEMINI
On Sundays, Gemini is open for lunch, from 11.30-16.00 with last booking at 14.00. Here, you can enjoy a 3-course menu for DKK 325 or you can choose à la carte. Gemini is next door to the Planetarium and you can enjoy your Sunday lunch with a view of Sankt Jørgens lake.
KRONBORG
Restaurant Kronborg is all about coziness and home-cooked food based on good ingredients. It is a classic Danish restaurant, and on Sundays they are open for lunch, where they serve smørrebrød with everything your heart desires. They are open from 11-17 every Sunday.
FASANGÅRDEN
At Fasangården, they serve classic Danish smørrebrød for lunch. The pieces are their own unique version of the Danish classic and they are made with focus on the details. They are served in bowls with bread on the side and you arrange them yourself on the plate exactly as you like it best. You can choose a 3 course set menu or you can go à la carte.
SCHØNNEMANN
Here you will find a classic Danish smørrebrød restaurant that is only open for lunch. A perfect place for a little Sunday pampering. They are open from 11:30-17:00 and lunch is served from 11:30/12:00 to 14:00 or from 14:15-17:00. So there is seating for both the early birds and the night owls.
SELMA
Selma is a modern Scandinavian restaurant where you will find smørrebrød in beautiful servings and other Nordic dishes. Their menu is constantly changing, dynamic and innovative and with a strong focus on seasonal products. On Sundays, they close for the evening, but you can enjoy a beautiful lunch and a matching beer from Mikkeller.
BÆST
Treat yourself to the tastiest end to the weekend at Bæst with their organic brunch menu. Experience the craftsmanship of the whole house, from the sausage factory, dairy and bakery and of course their wood-fired oven. A smaller a la carte menu and pizzas are also available.
KØDBYENS FISKEBAR
Wild fish are caught from small boats in the afternoon and land in the kitchen at Fiskebaren the following morning. Shellfish are hand-picked for their flavor and vegetables are from bio/eco farms or wild growing, in and outside of Copenhagen. Everything on the menu is as sustainable as it can be and they serve it every day of the week for both lunch and dinner.
LE LAC
At Le Lac, they cherish traditional French cuisine and its preparation methods, but do so in a modern and Nordic context. They are open for both lunch and dinner - also on Sundays. The menu changes regularly, so take a look at their website for more info - we are sure that you will find something you like.
MEILLE
Restaurant Meille serves high-quality food, with a focus on sustainability and traditional processes, at prices most people can afford. The dishes are based on seasonal, local vegetables and Danish fish and meat. You can enjoy your Sunday lunch here with a 3-course menu for DKK 295.
POLLY
Polly is an all-day restaurant in the heart of Frederiksberg, and you can therefore come here for their breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a wide selection on their à la carte for both breakfast and lunch.
